The short version
- Your screen-time data is processed on your phone and never uploaded.
- An account is optional and only used to sync your setup.
- We use Firebase, Crashlytics and RevenueCat to run the app. We never sell your data.
Who we are
Litlabs Studio is a trading name of Lit consult, MB, a company registered in Lithuania (company code 306077298), with its registered address at Vilniaus g. 45-17, LT-17112 Šalčininkai, Lithuania. Lit consult, MB is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
This policy covers the Clarity app for Android. The Clarity Terms of Use cover subscriptions and use of the app. Our website is covered by our separate website privacy policy.
What data we collect
Screen-time data: stays on your phone
To show your screen time and enforce blocks, Clarity reads the app-usage record Android already keeps (which apps you open, when and for how long). This data is processed only on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers, sold or shared. Your blocks, limits and schedules are also stored on your device.
Account data (optional)
You can use Clarity without an account. If you create one to sync your setup across phones, we store your email address, your name if your sign-in provider shares it, a user ID, and your block settings.
Purchase data
If you subscribe to Clarity Pro, Google Play processes the payment. We never see your card details. We receive your subscription status, product, purchase dates, and an anonymous purchase ID.
App analytics
We collect information about how the Clarity app itself is used: screens viewed, features used, app version, device model, operating system, language, approximate region (based on IP address) and a random app instance ID. This does not include your screen-time data or the names of apps you block.
Crash reports
If the app crashes, we receive a crash report: the error, device model, operating system, app version, and a random installation ID.
How we use your data
- To run the app and your account, including sync and sign-in (legal basis: performance of a contract)
- To provide Pro features and check your subscription (contract)
- To fix bugs and keep the app stable using crash reports (legitimate interests)
- To understand which features help people using analytics (consent, which you can withdraw under Profile → Privacy at any time)
- To answer your support emails (legitimate interests)
- To keep accounting records as Lithuanian law requires (legal obligation)
We do not show ads, sell your data, or use it for profiling.
